He was quick to cash my check and shortly after, no more correspondences from him. This email is probably fake, Ive emailed him and no response.

Do not send this crook any money! He has committed mail fraud and check fraud against me. Mail fraud in that he never sent goods that he was paid for and check fraud in that he doctored the check I sent to reflect his real name. See this post for more info!
